2 New York Giants make NFL Network’s Top 25 NFL Rookies of 2018 list

The 2018 regular season has officially come and gone, which has now ushered in the era of review and awards. Such was the case on Wednesday evening when NFL Network released their list of the top 25 from 2018.

To no one’s surprise, two New York Giants rookies made the list. And while everyone undoubtedly knows one of the two, the second may only be known to Big Blue fans. . . for now.

23. B.J. Hill, DE, Giants

Hill provided the Giants with some interior pass rush. His combination of power and quickness jumps off the tape.

Hill recorded 5.5 sacks on the season, which set an all-time franchise rookie record. Lawrence Taylor did record 9.5 sacks during his rookie campaign, but they didn’t become an official NFL statistic until one year later.

Next up on the list is running back Saquon Barkley, who had a rookie campaign for the ages. The only question is, where on the list does he end up?

Well, his strong performance against the Dallas Cowboys in the season finale likely secured his spot, which was No. 1 overall just ahead of Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.

1. Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants

It’ll be a tight race for Offensive Rookie of the Year, but Barkley has already established himself as a top-three running back in the league.

Barkley is likely headed for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, but Mayfield could leap him in a surprise. We’ll find out at the NFL Honors Award Show in February.
