Giants Mock Draft Rundown 1/11: Dwayne Haskins rises up

The 2018 regular season is over and New York Giants fans head into the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs as borderline die-hard fans of the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams — the two home teams tasked with ending the playoff hopes of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, respectively.

With the Giants season long in the books, we have turned our attention to the 2019 offseason. It’s never too early to start #MockDraftSeason and that’s the path we’re headed down in this piece.

The Giants 2019 offseason hasn’t caught fire just yet, but it’s certainly heating up. In a since-deleted Tweet, Ohio State quarterback Haskins posted a picture of him photoshopped in a Giants jersey with a message warning the NFL about how dynamic the New York offense could be if he joins it. Haskins is currently projected as the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft class and he has already received a first-round grade from the NFL’s college personnel advisory board.

Predictably, many of the draft experts and scouts have mocked Haskins to the Giants in their projections.

Before the Giants decide if Haskins is their future franchise quarterback, they have to make a decision on current franchise quarterback Eli Manning. Manning is due to receive a roster bonus on the fourth day of the new league year so a decision on his future will be made before then (March 17th).

For now, let’s dive into a recap of what the mock drafts are predicting for the Giants in Round with the No. 6 overall pick:
