The New York Giants are now winners of four of their last five games since their 2018 bye week and they are officially back “in the hunt” for an NFC Wildcard spot in the 2018 playoffs.
Of course, in order for the Giants to get there, they will need a lot to happen with the other teams in the hunt for one of the two Wildcard playoff spots. This is the case because the Giants lost several close games this season, including weeks against the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles that most fans believe were influenced by officiating (the NFL later apologized for missed calls against/for the Giants after Carolina and a former head NFL official called out the crew vs. Philadelphia).
Those losses will hurt the Giants’ tiebreaker situation as we near Week 17, but they will not rule the Giants out entirely.
Today, we will break down the game-by-game rooting guide for all Giants fans moving forward throughout the rest of the 2018 regular season. The Giants have three more games remaining and there is a path for them to make the 2018 postseason as a Wildcard team with wins in all three games. This path would lead them to a Wildcard playoff game against a familiar team, but we’ll get to that shortly.
Let’s dive right into what they need to happen.
