New York Giants’ 2019 opponents officially set

With the 2018 regular season reaching its conclusion on Sunday, the 2019 opponents for most teams have now been set. That became official for the New York Giants following a 36-35 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to their slate again the NFC North and AFC East, the Giants were awaiting the NFC South and NFC West to become set. And with the Giants finishing dead last in the NFC East yet again and other cracks being filled across the league, those final two opponents have been etched in stone.

Here’s a look at Big Blue’s home and away opponents in 2019:

Home: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals.

Away: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Only four of Big Blue’s opponents will be playoff teams, while five others will have finished this season with double-digit losses this past season. Another two had nine wins each.

This may sound like an easy schedule right now, but a lot changes in the offseason and the Giants’ schedule a year ago at this time sounded equally as breezy. How free agency, the NFL Draft and personnel changes shake out will determine just how easy or difficult the above slate really is.
