Several members of the New York Giants are preparing for a game this weekend and it’s evident they are having a good time.
Running back Saquon Barkley, linebacker Olivier Vernon, safety Michael Thomas and kicker Aldrick Rosas are all down in Orlando, Florida readying themselves for the 2019 Pro Bowl.
While safety Landon Collins sits out for the second consecutive year due to injury, his remaining teammates are fully immersing themselves in the experience.
Barkley and Rosas were voted to the Pro Bowl with Landon Collins. Vernon (replaced Khalil Mack) and Thomas (replaced Cory Littleton) were elected as reserves and ended up making the roster because of players sitting out for one reason or another.
This, of course, is not the only honor Michael Thomas received this year as he is the Giants’ candidate for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
Saquon Barkley will be representing the Giants in a big way as he got the most votes in the league behind quarterbacks Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes.
Barkley will also be participating in the skill challenge on Thursday night.
As Barkley took the league by storm this year, you can bet fans were excited to see him mic’d up during his first week preparing for the Pro Bowl.
Barkley’s popularity around the league is through the roof and has really lived up to the hype since going second overall in last year’s draft. He is a Rookie of the Year candidate after breaking many franchise records and some league records in his rookie season.
The players certainly seem to be having a good time in his first Pro Bowl, although you can bet they’d rather be preparing for the Super Bowl.
